Barnes & Noble Nook HD – Perfect High Performance on a Budget Tablet?

Surprised but tablets have really dropped in price! Phones have not dropped as much yet as you can’t really get a really decent phone for under $80 dollars, but it looks like the failed Barnes & Noble Nook HD 16GB are being unloaded online at very cheap prices (I have seen from $50-$60). I decided to pick two up since the price was too good to pass up and they have HDMI out via a separate cable (have to purchase) which would make it a great Xfinity/netflix mobile solution.

The hardware on the Nook HD is top notch. One of the main features that not many tablets or phones have now is the ability to expand storage with a SD card. This expands the 16gb to 32gb or 64 gb depending on what card you can get your hands on. The screen is top notch for this price range as well, you will not find a better screen for the tablets in this price range. The new operating system update allows downloads from Google play which makes this tablet a real “tablet” instead of just a E-reader.

Specs are below, get your hands on one of these, they are definitely worth the price, even as something that just sits on your coffee table for guests to use! I put one in the bathroom and one on the coffee table.
